Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 15, 2026
https://honeycutttranslations.com/ (the "Site") is owned and operated by Wyatt Honeycutt and can be contacted at honeycutttranslations@gmail.com.
This privacy policy (this "Privacy Policy") is published to inform users of our Site of the personal data we collect, the use of collected data, who has access to the data collected, the rights of Site users, and the Site's cookie policy. This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the Terms and Conditions of our Site.
01Consent
By using our Site, users agree that they consent to:
- The conditions set out in this Privacy Policy; and
- The collection, use, and retention of the data listed in this Privacy Policy.
02Personal Data We Collect
We only collect data that helps us achieve the purpose set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect any additional data beyond the data listed below without notifying you first.
03Data Collected Automatically
When you visit and use our Site, we may automatically collect and store the following information:
- IP address;
- Clicked links; and
- Content viewed.
04Data Collected in a Non-Automatic Way
We may also collect the following data when you affirmatively submit information on our Site:
- First and last name;
- Email address; and
- Phone number.
05How We Use Personal Data
Data collected on our Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of our Site. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy.
The data we collect automatically is used for marketing purposes, and the data we collect when the user affirmatively submits information on our Site may be used for communicating with that user.
06Who We Share Personal Data With
Employees. We may disclose user data to any member of our organization who reasonably needs access to user data to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Other Disclosures. We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:
- If the law requires it;
- If it is required for any legal proceeding;
- To prove or protect our legal rights; and
- To buyers or potential buyers of this company in the event that we seek to sell the company.
If you follow hyperlinks from our Site to another site, please note that we are not responsible for and have no control over their privacy policies and practices.
07How Long We Store Personal Data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed to deliver our service and meet our legal obligations.
Source documents and completed translations that you upload or that we deliver through our Site are automatically deleted from our storage no later than 30 days after the order is completed. Download links sent by email expire sooner than that — typically within 7 days — so we recommend saving your translation locally as soon as you receive it.
Order records and contact information (name, email, phone, order metadata) may be retained longer for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and customer-support purposes, in line with applicable U.S. record-keeping requirements.
You may request earlier deletion of your documents or account data at any time by emailing honeycutttranslations@gmail.com.
08How We Protect Your Personal Data
We take the security of your documents and personal data seriously. All traffic to and from our Site is protected with industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption. Files and order data are stored on secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure operated by reputable U.S.-based providers, with data encrypted at rest.
Access to client documents is restricted to the personnel directly involved in producing your translation, and is governed by strict role-based permissions and confidentiality obligations. Document download links are signed, time-limited, and not publicly indexable.
We never sell, rent, or share your documents or personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
While we take all reasonable precautions to keep user data secure, no method of transmission or storage on the Internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security beyond what is reasonably practical.
09Children
We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 13 years of age has provided us with personal data, their parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer.
10How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected
If you would like to know if we have collected your personal data, how we have used your personal data, if we have disclosed your personal data and to whom, or if you would like your data to be deleted or modified in any way, please contact our privacy officer at honeycutttranslations@gmail.com.
11Cookie Policy
A cookie is a small file stored on your device by a website. We use a small number of cookies on our Site, grouped into two categories:
- Essential cookies — required for the Site to function (sign-in sessions, secure file uploads, checkout, anti-fraud). These are always on because the Site cannot operate without them.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4, used to measure aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics and any advertising signals default to denied for every visitor on first load. Analytics is only activated after you opt in.
For visitors from the European Union, the United Kingdom, the EEA, and Switzerland, we display a cookie banner on your first visit and require your explicit opt-in before any analytics cookie is set, in line with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. Visitors from other regions, including the United States, may have analytics enabled by default consistent with applicable law, and can disable it at any time using the link in the site footer.
Declining analytics cookies does not reduce or restrict any functionality of our Site — quoting, ordering, file delivery, and account features all work identically.
You can also disable cookies entirely from your browser settings.
12California and U.S. State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, or another U.S. state with consumer-privacy legislation, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request a copy, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
See our dedicated Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or email honeycutttranslations@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Request."
13Modifications
This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend that our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure that they are notified of any updates. If necessary, we may notify users by email of changes to this Privacy Policy.
