Indian civil documents come from two parallel systems: the older state-issued certificates (often handwritten or typed in regional languages) and the newer Unique Identification (Aadhaar) and Civil Registration System records.
We translate Hindi-language documents from any Indian state, including older handwritten registry entries and current digital records, in the format USCIS accepts for I-130, H-1B, and EB-2/EB-3 filings.
Source countries we cover: India.

What USCIS requires for a foreign-language document
- Full English translation
Every word, stamp, seal, and marginal note on the foreign document must be rendered into English — not summarized.
- Signed Certificate of Accuracy
The translator certifies, in writing, that the translation is complete and accurate and that they are competent to translate from the source language to English.
- Original visible alongside translation
USCIS expects the certified English translation to be submitted together with a legible copy of the original foreign-language document.
- Independent translator
The translator cannot be the applicant or beneficiary. Self-translations are routinely rejected, even when accurate.
Common pitfalls with Hindi documents
Late-registered births
Many Indian births weren't registered at birth and were registered later via affidavit. The translation must include both the affidavit and the registration certificate.
Father's name vs surname
Many Indian states list father's name in lieu of a surname. Translators must preserve this convention — don't invent a surname to fit a U.S. format.
